According to the military’s media wing, two Pakistan Army personnel were killed in a terrorist attack in South Waziristan on Tuesday.
During the battle, militants opened fire on security personnel in the Sararogha region of the tribal district, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations Department (ISPR) (ISPR).
According to ARY News, among those murdered were Lance Naik Umar Ali Khan, a 26-year-old Bannu resident, and Sepoy Muhammad Siraj ud Din, a 23-year-old DI Khan native, both of whom were killed in the attack.
Following information received about the presence of insurgents in the region, the security forces conducted an operation in the vicinity.
“The Pakistan Army is dedicated to eliminating the threat of terrorism, and such sacrifices made by our gallant warriors only serve to enhance our determination,” the ISPR stated on Monday.
